About Me

I have loved beads, and making jewelry since childhood. I can still remember my mother vacuuming beads from the shag carpet. In July of 2001, I designed a 4th of July bracelet to wear for the holiday, and named it "Patriot".

When returning to work to the next day, it was announced my merchandising position, and the company would be dissolved. While looking for a new position, I designed as many bracelets as possible, and booked shows for the up-coming fall season. Then 9-11.......and the Patriot bracelet became known, and renewed fot the remembrance of freedom and land we love.

My collection has since grown and is now a full time endeavor. I thank my parents for their support and encouragement. My daughter for her understanding, and my husband for his support and the opportunity to do what I love.

About The Button Closure Charm Braclet

Charmmen beaded jewelry features a button closure style bracelet utilizing vintage galss buttons. These glass buttons date back to the '20's, '30's, '40's, and '50's.


There are no single resource for these little pieces of history. I search for them in antique shops, small towns known for thier antiquing, and antique auctions. They are selected for thier unique design, unusual shapes, and variety of colors.


The shank style button is primarily selected for this jewlry and is key for anchoring through the beaded loop, allowing a fastening function as well, as a focal point to the bracelet. The availability of some buttons become scarce and are truly one of a kind finds.


The beads are carefully coordinated and selected for each jewelry piece for quality, intrest, and color harmony. Consisting primarily of Swarovski crystal, rhinestones, gemstone pearls, Czech and Hand painted glass beads.


The cable running through the beads in each bracelet is constructed with miniature braded stainless steel cables covered with nylon. The cable is strong, and is secured at eaach end with a sterling crimp bead, designed for bead work.


Sterling silver and cast pewter are assembled into mix for enhancement. This allows space breaks in-between beads to create patterns, and allow charms to be anchored into the bracelet.


The sterling silver charms are 9.25 sterling silver and are available in a variety of choices. If there is a specific charm you desirem please ask and I will try to accommodate your request.
